There are more boys now, lost or not. And you cook and clean and stitch ours lives together, deftly sew your shadow to ours heels. You better don't believe ours promises and never look too closely in ours eyes, but do leave the window open and keep the candle burning. And clap and clap and clap, because you have to believe. Every Wendy grows up; but you don't have to grow and fly away, don't leave us at our own devices. because lost boys are like that.

This is Neverland. Lost boys and girls united in a knot of trust. It took months but soon I took away my mask, revealed my true self. Awake in the moment. Only the heart pulse that makes our rules. And Peter, laughing at the old world and its chains; mocking the worn out rusty locks and cages. His loyalty true. Courage fierce. Magic boundless. His wild heart big enough to love us all.

He was not black or white or yellow or red just a boy of the human race. He was none of these yet he was all for hopelessness knows no color. He could have been you or me or your father but he was everyone's brother. He awoke each day in fear of the sun and what horrors it would bring to his sight and in fear prepared a meager defense against the terrors of the coming night. He had no future except to survive by any means he could. He had not the option to qualify if those means were bad or good. His heart is kind but he must not be weak so his actions are hard and reckless.
